Architectural Differentiation

Why Stackbase is different from generic templates

Most online templates are bloated, static Git clones that break the moment you remove a file. Stackbase is a generative monorepo compiler.

Generative, Not Cloned

Templates give you everything and make you delete unwanted code. Stackbase only scaffolds what you select, with clean imports wired at generation time.

0 Unused Dependencies

Pre-Connected Contracts

Fastify Swagger OpenAPI automatically compiles into type-safe TanStack Query hooks in Next.js. You never manually write API types.

100% Typed End-to-End

Complete Better Auth RBAC

Not just mock auth. Includes HTTP-only session cookies, custom role guards, route-level authorization hooks, and database schemas out of the box.

Production Role Guards

AI-Agent Ready Rules

Pre-configured with .cursorrules, .claude/, and multi-agent instructions to prevent architectural drift.

Agent Context Built In
Measurable Business ROI

Save 46 hours and $4,600+ on every new repository

Setting up a production-ready monorepo manually burns weeks of senior engineering salary. Stackbase compresses setup from days to seconds.

Manual Setup Traditional Way

Wiring packages from scratch

~46 Hours ~$4,600 dev salary
Monorepo workspace & TypeScript path aliases 6–8 hrs
Better Auth setup, session cookies & RBAC roles 10–14 hrs
Fastify OpenAPI swagger to React Query code generator 8–10 hrs
Drizzle / Prisma schemas, migrations & seed pipeline 6–8 hrs
Redux Toolkit store, UI layout & AI coding rules 6–8 hrs
The Hidden Cost: Manual setups introduce architectural inconsistencies, broken cross-package imports, and delayed product launches.

With Stackbase CLI Zero Boilerplate

Automated architecture generation

30 Seconds $0 Cost (MIT)
Clean pnpm Workspace with Shared Packages Instant
Pre-Wired Auth, Session Hooks & Role Guards Pre-Wired
Auto-Typed React Query (pnpm generate:api) Automated
PostgreSQL Drizzle/Prisma Client & DB Seeds Configured
Redux Store, Slices & AI Agent Architectural Rules Included
Day One is Feature One: Launch your product weeks earlier with a production-grade foundation you own outright. Zero runtime dependencies on Stackbase.

Ongoing Speedup on Schema Changes

Update any backend Fastify route, run pnpm generate:api, and your frontend TypeScript types update in 1 second.

Built For Production Builders

Why your project needs this architecture

Whether you are shipping a new SaaS product, an enterprise API, or multiple client repositories.

SaaS Founders & Startups

Ship your MVP in days instead of weeks. Working authentication, role-based access control, PostgreSQL schemas, and typed frontend queries are ready on line one.

→ Launch 2–4 weeks faster

Agencies & Freelancers

Standardize client deliverables on one robust, scalable architecture. Deliver high-performance Fastify + Next.js codebases that transfer effortlessly across client teams.

→ Consistent client margins

Engineering Teams

Eliminate manual API type writing with automated OpenAPI compilation. AI agent guardrails (Claude, Cursor, Copilot) ensure AI tools follow your workspace conventions.

→ Zero architectural drift

End-to-end type safety out of the box

Fastify route schemas automatically generate typed React Query hooks in Next.js.

backend/src/routes/items.ts Fastify 5 Schema
import { FastifyPluginAsync } from 'fastify';

export const itemsRoutes: FastifyPluginAsync = async (fastify) => {
  fastify.get('/items', {

      response: {

        }
      }
    }
  }, async () => [{ id: '1', name: 'Item A' }]);

Frequently asked questions

Is Stackbase free and open source? +
Yes. Stackbase is licensed under the MIT License and completely open source on GitHub. There are no paid tiers, no telemetry, and no gated features.
How is this different from cloning a template repository? +
Template repositories force you to manually delete unwanted code. Stackbase is generative: it scaffolds only the modules, ORM, and roles you select, wiring imports and configs cleanly at generation time.
How much time and engineering cost does this actually save? +
On average, setting up a monorepo workspace, wiring Better Auth sessions, connecting custom role guards, configuring OpenAPI code generation, and setting up Drizzle/PostgreSQL migrations takes between 40 to 50 engineering hours (worth ~$4,000–$5,000 in dev salary). Stackbase reduces this to 30 seconds.
Do I have a runtime dependency on Stackbase? +
No. After scaffolding, the project is a standard monorepo you own completely. You can swap or remove libraries at any time.
Can I use Prisma instead of Drizzle? +
Yes. You can select Prisma in the interactive wizard or pass --orm prisma to the CLI.
Will Stackbase support other frameworks like Hono, Express, or Expo? +
Yes! We are actively expanding Stackbase day by day. Adapters for Hono, Express, React Native / Expo, SvelteKit, and Nuxt are currently in development as part of our ecosystem roadmap.
How can I request or contribute a new tech stack? +
Stackbase is 100% open-source under MIT. You can open an issue on our GitHub repository, vote on community feature requests, or submit a PR adding an adapter.
